The Brink Change Leadership course explains everything you need to know about the process of change, and how to lead with more speed and ease. Module 1 | Change Happens
The first module explores what effective leadership looks like in today’s complex and rapidly changing world. We’ll set intentions for how to get the best out of the course, examine the distinction between change management and change leadership, and consider the skills and tools needed to lead change effectively.
Module 2 | Your Change Story
We’ll explore your change story and illuminate your potential as a change leader, get clear on where you’re coming from and where you’re headed, and reflect on how to maximize your strengths and minimize challenges in leading change.
Module 3 | Change Climate
In our third module, we’ll examine how your team is working together, how the mood of a group can affect a change initiative and what you can do about it, and review tools that can help you to inspire true urgency and encourage your team to move forward in change.
Module 4 | Change Mindset
Learn about the neuroscience of change, and how you can use it to create a change mindset in yourself and those around you. Discover how you can help your team work through hidden emotions and assumptions around change, and strategies to encourage intentional, proactive behaviour in team members.
Module 5 | Change Culture
We’ll look at why leadership is a shared role and how you can encourage collective responsibility in your team. We’ll discuss the value of creative tension, and the process of developing sustainable structures and processes for collaboration
Module 6 | Review
In our final week, we’ll go over everything that we’ve covered about the process of Brink leadership, discuss questions and challenges that you may have about what’s been done to date, and determine your next steps as a change leader.

How does Brink's online program work?
When you sign up, you join our community of change leaders as a Brink member. All course materials are made available to you online, and the public program lasts 12 weeks. You can work through the materials at a convenient time and at your own pace. Each two-week module provides access to new learning videos and PDF support materials from the Brink toolkit. You’ll also receive support directly from Kerry in regular Zoom meetings, as well as in our private Brink Leader Dialogues forum where you can ask for and share advice on the experience of leading change.
Who should take this course?
Brink is designed for change leaders and those who support them. Anyone involved in leading a team can benefit from the Brink course. Those who get the biggest benefit from Brink are people who are prepared to experiment, to be comfortable with the uncomfortable, and who are ready to transform themselves. It’s an adventure where everyone experiments and learns together.
Who shouldn't sign up?
Brink is not for somebody who just wants to stay on the sidelines observing the process. It’s about application and doing, as you put what you learn into practice and create meaningful change in the world.
How much time will it take?
Expect to spend between two to four hours on each of the six modules. (We’ve also included an introductory section.) You’ll be reviewing the videos and spending a little time on homework, which can be done over two weeks at a time that is appropriate for you. You can ask questions and discuss ideas with Kerry in our live Zoom Room chats, as well as in the community on our Brink Leader Dialogues Facebook group.
What will I learn from taking this course?
The Brink Leadership Course will deepen your understanding of how to get the best out of others within a team environment, and help you to lead change with more ease. You’ll discover common challenges change leaders face, and receive strategies on how to resolve them. Once you have what you need to make leading meaningful change a reality, you can end the frustration and get to where you want to go.
Who is Kerry Woodcock?
Novalda principal Kerry Woodcock has been leading change for decades, coaching leaders, teams, organizations and complex social systems to develop powerful relationships that encourage collaboration and innovation. She brings over twenty years of experience with corporate, government and not-for-profit organizations in a variety of sectors including energy, public service, natural resource management and the arts in Canada, UK and Tanzania. Kerry is an International Coach Federation-accredited coach As you get to know Kerry, you’ll discover her weave of quirky playful spirit, with a head quick to see patterns of meaning, guts of passion with purpose and a heart of courageous vulnerability.
